| Seeking Video Artist Support for a Short Film Summary I have recently finished shooting a 29 minute movie with 35 scenes on Mini-DV. The movie to date has been edited in Adobe Premier. I am looking for a skilled, creative post-production video artist who can apply a unique and interesting layer of video effects to the film. Movie Synopsis The story revolves around 4 Colombian women who are entwined in various social phenomenons in that country. The story uses an indigenous myth as a metaphor to explain the story and the larger society. The myth is presented and visualized through 7 scenes of modern dance. The movie is in Spanish but is translated. Objectives I am looking for a video artist who can create an overall visual package for the film including at least some of the following elements: • Creating an interesting film lead followed by a visual concept for the Opening Credits • Creating a set of uniform scene transitions • Creating a series of video effects where appropriate in the movie, such as the use of filters • Creating a video concept for the 7 dance scenes. This will be the bulk of the work. It would be ideal if the person had some experience working with body language concepts or modern dance • Creating a visual concept for the Final Credits • Creating an overall, uniform look to the movie • Color correction • Creating a Trailer for the movie Essentials The person must be based in the New York City area to permit close collaboration with other members of the post production team. The person should be familiar with basic cinematic concepts. The person should have a command of Adobe After Effects or similar software. The person should also be committed and easy to work with. Procurement I will screen an initial version of the movie on Wednesday, October 26 in the evening. I would like to begin work ASAP thereafter.
