VAEFF 2017 - Submission Guidelines

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO/FILM

Submit your film/video through our online submission form. You will be required to provide a Vimeo link for your video (if it is set to private, please provide the password to allow our panel access).

If you do not have a Vimeo link, please upload your video file via our online submission form.  We highly recommend providing a Vimeo link.

Note: All submitted videos are for festival panel review purposes only. We do not share your work with anyone.

Requirements

  • Length: Films/videos may be no longer than 30 minutes. We do not accept feature length films.
  • Genres: We accept all genres including Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Stop Motion, Remix and more
  • Themes:  SEX, HUMAN, FASHION, POLITICS, ENVIRONMENT, MUSIC

 

Submission Fee

Pay the Festival Fee by credit card or Paypal.

Early bird Deadline: February 5, 2017 $37 Early fee
Standard Deadline-EXTENDED: June 1, 2017 $45 Standard fee
Late Deadline-EXTENDED: June 25, 2017  $55 Late fee

 

 

 

Notification of Acceptance
Artists/Filmmakers will be notified of acceptance via email by August 20, 2017.

Refund Policy

Submission fee is non-refundable once you’ve submitted your film.

All submitted films/videos will be reviewed and considered by VAEFF curators, but paying submission fee does not guarantee that your films will be accepted for VAEFF 2017

FESTIVAL DATES

The 7th Video Art & Experimental Film Festival will be held at the Tribeca Film Center in New York City on November 09-11, 2017

FAQ

  • Do you accept multiple submissions?
    Yes, we do accept multiple submissions. We do not offer fee discounts for multiple submissions at this time.
  • Do you offer submission fee waivers?
    No. We only offer submission fee waivers under very special circumstances, such as government-imposed financial sanctions.
