VAEFF 2025 Screening Partner Program

Program Structure and Dates

The Video Art & Experimental Film Festival (VAEFF) 2025 will take place at Cinema Village in New York City from November 14–20, 2025. Partner screening programs will run alongside VAEFF’s official selections beginning Friday, November 14, allowing both curated and partner-led events to share in the festival’s opening weekend visibility and audience presence.

Expanding Curatorial Voices

In past years, VAEFF has partnered with organizations such as SHOWstudio, internationally recognized for pioneering fashion film, and Curation Hour, an emerging platform for experimental cinema. These collaborations enriched the festival by bringing new perspectives, artistic voices, and communities of filmmakers and audiences into the program.

For 2025, VAEFF is expanding these opportunities by welcoming a broader range of independent curators, collectives, and creative platforms. Each partner contributes a fee that covers the cost of a minimum two-hour cinema block. In return, partners receive the support of the VAEFF team and venue staff, ensuring a professional framework for realizing their curatorial vision.

This structure enables partners to present their work in a fully equipped cinema setting, while also contributing to a wider cultural dialogue that supports independent voices in film and video art.

An Invitation to Collaborate

VAEFF 2025 invites curators, collectives, and organizations to participate in this collaborative model. By joining, partners help create opportunities for artists, expand cultural conversation, and strengthen the independent film community.

Please note: all partner programs must be pre-approved by VAEFF to ensure alignment with the festival’s artistic standards and vision.
