VAEFF 2016 will continue our special program, “Beauty, Sex & Shame,” examining the interplay of beauty, sexual representation, and shame as expressed through art, fashion, and music videos. This series has become increasingly popular over the years, as sexual identity and self-perception are a huge part of the human experience. The “Beauty, Sex, & Shame” program showcases films where one can sense the complex themes that juggle identity, expectation and truth within art before words can begin to describe them.
