The Seventh Annual Video Art and Experimental Film Festival (VAEFF) introduces New York City to the most conceptually and aesthetically arresting, daring and provocative experimental films from around the world. In addition to the official selection, VAEFF invites a number of artists who continue to amaze the art, film, and media worlds with their exceptional portfolio of work. The resulting lineup is a captivating roster of both established and emerging artists from around the globe, including the USA, Belgium, Italy, Sri Lanka, Israel, France, Azerbaijan, Spain, and the UK.

The festival will take place November 9th-11th at the Tribeca Film Center and DCTV and conclude with a panel discussion & gala party at DCTV.

Program Highlights

VAEFF 2017 will continue its special program, “Beauty, Sex, & Shame,” examining the interplay of beauty, shame, and sexual representation as expressed through art, fashion, and music videos.  VAEFF will also be continuing for the second year its program “Temporal Spaces,” which will screen an eclectic collection of works that play with the concepts of time and space.
