Synopsis:
“Did we force ourselves on you, or you on us?”
“Dice Kayek ‘Blue’” is Marie Schuller’s latest collaboration with renowned-fashion brand Dice Kayek. The film recalls the 90s advertisement films of Mondinot for Jean-Paul Gaultier perfumes. With no clearly stated context and little narrative, the film beautifully highlights the qualities of Dice Kayek garments.

Bio:
Originally from Germany, Marie Schuller settled in England in 2004 where she studied filmmaking at the National Film and Television School and completed her MA in Photography at the University of the Arts London. Specialising in fashion content, her films are marked by the surreal and often abstracted offering cinematic, provocative and unsettling imagery. Since 2010 Schuller has been working for Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio in London as Head of Fashion Film. Her work has been screened internationally at institutions such as the Kunsthalle in Vienna, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Fashion and Textile Museum, just to name a few. In 2012, Schuller was awarded the ‘Best Director of Fashion’ prize at ASVOFF Barcelona.
