Synopsis: “Unbroken” is a poem written by Jean-Sebastien Surena and excerpted from his book, “Quarantined Thoughts.” The visual takes us through a sunny day in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY. People just living their lives. Try as you might, the white man cannot break us.
Bio: Suswana Chowdhury is a first generation Bengali-American born and raised in Queens, New York. She works as a senior producer at Osmosis Films, and previously at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. as a video and audio producer for the Corporate & Investment Bank. Suswana dedicates her time to develop projects particularly narrative film and documentaries that are reflective of the diverse world she has grown up in. Her most recent Bangla short film, “Dawat” ran on the ’20-’21 film festival circuit, having its international premiere at the Dhaka International Film Festival. Passionate in her belief that education is a human right, Suswana actively fundraises to build sustainable and accessible education for girls in developing cities around the world.
